Sacred Silence: Lenten Reflection Day 45
Saturday Apr 19, 2025
Saturday Apr 19, 2025
On this Holy Saturday, we sit in the quiet place between the crucifixion and the resurrection. The tomb is sealed, the sky is silent, and the world is waiting. But even here, in the stillness, God is at work.
Join Regina Bartlett as she reflects on the silent strength of Joseph of Arimathea, the tension of the guarded tomb, and the mysterious power of a day that feels forgotten in the Easter story. Through the raw and personal story of her sister’s ruptured brain aneurysm — and the in-between time between diagnosis and miracle — Regina explores how Holy Saturday mirrors the waiting seasons in our own lives.
This is not a day of absence. This is the sacred pause where resurrection is being prepared.

Friday Apr 18, 2025
Friday Apr 18, 2025
In this powerful Good Friday reflection, we walk with Jesus through Matthew 27 and sit at the foot of the cross. This day, filled with suffering and sorrow, is called Good Friday—not because it was pleasant, but because of what Jesus accomplished through it. In today’s episode, Regina unpacks the historical and spiritual depth of this moment, shares her own adult revelation about the brutal reality of the crucifixion, and recognizes that the story of Barabbas isn’t just about someone else—it’s about all of us.
We don’t rush to Sunday. We sit in the stillness. In the weight. In the holy darkness.

In today’s episode of Well and Grace, we step into a quiet, sacred moment just days before the crucifixion. Based on Matthew 26:6–13, we reflect on the powerful story of a woman who anointed Jesus with expensive perfume—an act of bold, intimate worship that Jesus called “a beautiful thing.”

Why her story is remembered every time the Gospel is preached
-
How our own acts of surrender—even in brokenness—rise like a pleasing fragrance to God

Triumphal Entry: Lenten Reflection Day 39
Sunday Apr 13, 2025
Sunday Apr 13, 2025
In today’s reflection on Matthew 21:1–11, we join the crowd on the road to Jerusalem, waving palm branches and crying “Hosanna!” But what kind of King are we really welcoming? Jesus enters not with might, but with meekness — not on a war horse, but on a donkey. This Palm Sunday reflection invites us to examine our expectations of Jesus and surrender to the deeper salvation He offers.
Regina shares a personal story of praying for rescue and receiving something far better — the presence and peace of Christ in unexpected ways.
As Holy Week begins, may this devotional help you open the gates of your heart to the humble King.
Scripture:
Matthew 21:1–11
Zechariah 9:9
Psalm 118:25-26
Reflection Questions:
-
What expectations do I place on Jesus that might not align with His character?
-
How do I respond when His answer looks different than my request?
-
Am I willing to follow Jesus beyond the parade — all the way to the cross?
Prayer:
"Jesus, our gentle King, help us to see You as You are and not as we want You to be. May we welcome You with open hands, even when Your way leads through the cross."
